How to find us

We are situated in the rolling countryside of the beautiful Usk Valley, in the county of Monmouthshire, South Wales, United Kingdom.

From London and the South East:

Leave the M4 Westbound at junction 24, Newport and take the A449 North signposted to Monmouth, Raglan and Abergavenny.  Leave the dual carriageway at the Raglan slip road, and filter into the A40 towards Abergavenny.  Raglan Castle is on your right.  After about 1 mile at the first roundabout you come to, take the last exit, signposted to Clytha.  The white hotel gates are approx. 4 miles from the roundabout on the right hand side.  Our drive takes you under the dual carriageway.

From West Wales:

Leave the M4 eastbound at junction 24, Newport and take the A449 North signposted to Monmouth, Raglan and Abergavenny.  Leave the dual carriageway at the Raglan slip road, and filter into the A40 towards Abergavenny.  As you proceed down hill Raglan Castle is on your right.  After about 1 mile at the first roundabout you come to take the last exit, signposted to Clytha.  The white hotel gates are approx. 4 miles from the roundabout on the right hand side.  Our drive takes you under the dual carriageway.

From The Midlands and the North:

From the M5 join the M50 to South Wales which eventually becomes the A40.  Follow the A 40 to Monmouth, and pas through the tunnels here.  Shortly after the next service station take the slip towards Abergavenny, remaining on the A40. As you proceed down hill Raglan Castle is on your right.  After about 1 mile at the first roundabout you come to take the last exit, signposted to Clytha.  The white hotel gates are approx. 4 miles from the roundabout on the right hand side.  Our drive takes you under the dual carriageway.

From Abergavenny, Hereford, Merthyr Tydfil, or Pontypool:

From the double roundabout at the convergence of the A40 from Abergavenny, the A465 from Hereford, the A465 from Merthyr Tydfil and A4042 from Pontypool take the B4598 signposted to Usk and Clytha.  Keep on this road for approx. 5 miles ignoring the right turn to Usk on the B4598.  The Hotel drive is at the bottom of the next hill on the left-hand side. Our drive takes you under the dual carriageway.

By Rail

The nearest railway station is at Abergavenny, with the nearest mainline station being at Newport.

By Air

Cardiff and Bristol airports are equidistant to the hotel and easily accessible via the M4 ( see road directions above ), and we have a registered Helipad within the hotel grounds.
